In some cases, men don't understand why they behave in the way they do, especially when it comes to sex with their partner, and this is much more true because of the "Reptilian brain", a term used to describe a part of the brain that makes men have a desire essentially for the pursuit of pleasure with little consideration for the long term implications.

In this article, I want to briefly discuss three reasons why some men tend to lose interest after sex.

1. Truth be told, Some men's only desire from a woman is to have intimacy with her, and they'll go to any lengths to get it. They have no business developing any romantic relationship with her and don't expects her to have hope on them in any way. A woman's heart is broken when she discovers this. What can you do if all you have in a relationship with a man is intimacy? Before you get into bed with him, be aware of the clear signs that he's that way.

2. You never know if the guy you're with is indeed your boyfriend. Perhaps he was infatuated with you at the time? Afterwards, you shared a bed with each other. Because of lust, men may believe they know others better than they actually do. Physical chemistry is easy to get sucked into. When you meet for the first time, the excitement and anticipation might be overwhelming.

3. It's not uncommon for a woman to have the feeling of being closer to a man after they've had sexual relations. It's possible for men to freak out if they see you making funny faces at them after intimacy, especially if they assume it's just a casual relationship. He might be getting the impression that you're looking for more of a long-term commitment from him. You'll be able to tell quite soon if he doesn't and starts to retreat. Honesty is preferable to wasting time and effort on a relationship.
