American fighter jets are well-known for their cutting-edge technology and their ability to fly at speeds exceeding Mach 2. Throughout history, it has been widely accepted that the The Us is the most technologically advanced nation on the planet.

The enormous monetary resources devoted to the armed forces of the United States make them unique.

US military spending alone is $715 billion in 2021, according to Militarybudget. This enormous sum could fund an entire country's budget.

When such a large sum of money and cutting-edge technology are committed to a military effort, you can be sure the results will be spectacular

In this post, I want to show you the SR-71, which is an American jet also referred to as "Blackbird".

It was designed by Clarence Johnson, an American aerospace engineer, and Lockheed corporations manufactured the aircraft as an advanced supersonic surveillance plane.

The aircraft was made for the United States Air Force and was used for gathering information, observing of enemy operations, and spotting of artileries. Due to the speed and operation of the jet in midair, it is regarded as "the beast of the air".

It has the ability to fly at a speed of Mach 3.2 and this enable it to avoid or escape threats released by enemy radar. However, if the aircraft becomes detected and surface-to-air missiles are fired against it, the plane's sensors detects and have it neutralized, but if it's impossible to do so, the aircraft will immediately accelerate at very high speed to outrace it.

For example, the blackbird has the ability to undertake Aerial Refueling, which extends its operational range. Using Sheath Technology, the jet is practically undetectable by any advanced aircraft detection system.

In order to achieve a top speed of 3540 kilometers per hour, the jet is equipped with a Pratt & Whitney J58 engine.
