In life, there are problems or challenges that confront people, and when one is experienced by a believer, it is important to pray to God and believe him to address the case brought to him in prayer. The Holy Bible records that God hears prayers and, because of this, everyone can come to him to make their request known to him. However, not everyone is sure or certain that their prayers are heard or answered, and some tend to look for other means to get solutions to the issues bothering them.

To clear the air about this issue, the founder and senior pastor of the Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo, while speaking at the covenant hour of prayer, said that when God hears you as a believer praying to him, he will answer you.

The respected man of God pointed out that the only thing that can make one know that God truly hears him is the visible result and testimonies that follow. He made it known that it's not possible for God to hear the cries of his children who are faithful to him, and that he will not answer them. He, however, noted that although God can be patient sometimes and delay a bit, he will surely answer them.

He also added as a warning that anyone who desires God to hear him or her and equally answer must depart from iniquity and abstain from every kind of sin. Another thing he said was that not forgiving those who offend you as a believer will hinder your prayers and God will not hear them.

The revered man of God said that children of God must make sure they obey his commandments by doing everything God instructs them to do. He said this will make God pleased with them at all times, and he will hear when they call on him and also answer them.
